The "Good With Me" Story
The "Good With Me" global humanitarian movement grew out of over 30 years of working with thousands of people through the Focus Oneā¢ Substance Abuse Treatment Program. It began as a book, Good With Me: A Simple Approach to Real Happiness from the Inside Out, and quickly evolved into something much greater.
An unexpected encounter with a visiting journalism intern from Afghanistan became the spark for the movement's global vision. After hearing about the purpose behind the Good With Me book, he shared that the same struggles with self-esteem and happiness exist in his country. That conversation ignited the idea of creating a global community centered around the belief that all people have intrinsic value.

The City of St. Petersburg, Florida, officially recognized Good With Me with a mayoral proclamation, designating September 21st as Good With Me Day. This celebration quickly gained international recognition, with virtual events uniting people from over 12 countries to honor the day.
What began as a single day of recognition soon grew into a festival and community celebration with the empowering theme: "A Celebration of YOU!"
Supported by the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg, the Good With Me Festival brings people together to celebrate their unique value and the power of community.
